According to a recent study done in regards to vacationing and health, results has shown that vacationing is essential for good health. It has been shown that those who take actual vacations (actual time off to go somewhere away for vacation) are in better physical and mental health. In addition, they are more productive in their work and other wise upon returning.

This should be a good eye opener for us Americans. Americans have been shown to take far less vacations or non because they don't want to be shown as lazy or simply feel that they got too much work to take care of. As we can see, it has counter productivity in our lives instead of the opposite. So, would it not make more sense to be in better health and more productive?

Facts are in United States we get on the average 14 days of vacation compared to the European countries, where they get at least 25 to 30 days of vacation per year. If you look at the amount of days that we actually get for vacation time-- it is really not that much compared to 365 days in a year. Europeans, certainly, have more practice and experience in this area-- and know what is good for them. If their people are more refreshed, in better health and more productive--the end result is more success for them all. Perhaps, we must take some notes from them.

Balance is the key in life. We all need time to recuperate from our daily life styles. That does not mean that it is not a good life style, but rather it only means that it will allow us to get refreshed and become more of who we can be. It is human nature to enjoy and expand upon differentiation. Your body needs to recuperate and rejuvenate on daily basis. But on occasional basis it needs a different kind of rejuvenation, which could come from a simple vacation. The mind and the body correlate -- their needs become essential or they will start to break down. We should focus on a daily down time. Weather it is just a few moments of meditation, exercise, walk, prayer or socialization-- it is something that we must do for our well being. The importance of taking time off from your job and vacationing should not be under-estimated. So, go ahead and look into taking some time off and an actual vacation time away from your work. You will be highly rewarded for it and will feel so much more rejuvenated. When you feel such way, everything in your life will feel more at ease and more joyful. But when you are tired and ran down, everything feels ugly and just not good. Don't you think?
